IYHA Jr Fuel welcomes new skaters (ages 3 - 14) to come Try Hockey For Free on Saturday, March 12th, from 11:45a - 12:45p, at the Arctic Zone Iceplex (16616 Southpark Dr. Westfield, IN 46074).

Previous skating experience is not required. Professional coaches will be available to assist new skaters on to the ice and teach new skaters the fundamentals.

All participants are required to bring a helmet (hockey helmets preferred, bicycle helmets accepted) AND gloves. Additional equipment encouraged, but not required. Please wear long, warm layers for both protection and warmth. Skate rental is available for $3, payable to the rink.

Once on the ice, skaters/players will be separated in to groups by skill level. Each group will rotate through a series of stations that will include passing, shooting, skating, and more. A scrimmage will be held at the end of the session. Parents can watch the fun from the glass around the rink or can enjoy the action from upstairs overlooking the ice.
