University of Minnesota, in partnership with the NCAA and the Minnesota Wild are thrilled to announce an opportunity for you and your members to participate in our hockey skills clinic, hosted in conjunction with the Frozen Four. Andy Ness and Adam Johnson will be developing a hockey skills clinic for U10 and U12 boys and girls on Wednesday, April 10th at TRIA Rink, St. Paul. Participants will also have the opportunity to watch a Frozen Four practice that day at Xcel Energy Center.
For the PeeWee/U12 (Session 2) participants, we ask that kids be dropped off at TRIA Rink by 9:45 am so they can be ready by 10:15 am for their session. Parents will need to pick up their child at TRIA around 1 pm that day. Participants need to bring their own gear to participate and a snack will be provided.
Not only will participants learn valuable skills and be able to watch a practice, but there will also be a competition of the skills and 8 winners (4 of each age group) will be able to compete their skills during an intermission of the first semi-final game on Thursday, April 11th. The winner of each age group (2 participants) will then be invited back for the Championship game on Saturday, April 13th to be a flag bearer before the game. All participants will walk away with a voucher to a Gopher Men’s Hockey game of their choice in 2024-25 and also a free open skate voucher to Super Rink in Blaine.
